AI consultancy for mid-market operating companies
You know AI matters
for your operations.
You do not yet know
what to do with it.
Honest assessment first — what AI will and won't do in your operations. Then the steering to a pilot in production, without the months of vendor pitches and pilots-without-direction in between.
AI decisions carry real weight, and they're harder to judge than the technology decisions you've made before.
When you approve an AI initiative, the evidence in front of you was built by someone who wants you to say yes.
That's not an accusation. It's the normal shape of an enterprise technology decision. But in AI specifically, the gap between what a vendor presents and what you can independently verify has never been wider. The pitch is fluent. The evidence is curated. And your team hasn't had time to build the assessment muscle yet.
Three ways we work with you.
Each service brings independent expertise to a different point in that decision: an honest read before you commit, delivery leadership once you do, and a working build when you're ready. They work standalone, or in sequence.
An honest, structured read of what a specific AI decision means for your operations — a vendor pitch to evaluate, a use case to assess, a pilot to green-light or stop. We work out what the technology actually does, whether the evidence matches the claim, whether it fits your operation, and what you'd need to see before committing. Not a prelude to selling you a pilot — a recommendation you can act on, backed by a written assessment, with value regardless of what comes next.
AI Pilot SteeringLeadership for your AI pilot, from scoping through to production handoff. We identify the right governance structure with your team, manage risk, and support stakeholder communication. Your team or a technical partner handles the model work. Whether your pilot is just being scoped or has already stalled, we work from where you are. The goal is a pilot in production — or a documented decision to stop.
AI Automation SprintFor a well-scoped automation — document processing, an internal chatbot, a workflow trigger — we scope it, build it using AI-assisted development, deploy it to your environment, and hand it off with documentation and training. Two to four weeks from kickoff to working software in your hands.

Project delivery at scale: global programs, multi-stakeholder governance, production go-live across complex technology initiatives. The AI context is newer. The discipline is the same.

Honest assessment, not optimistic pitching
The first thing we deliver in any sensemaking engagement is the honest answer to "what does this mean for your operations?" — including "this isn't ready," before you commit the investment. If a pilot isn't warranted, we'll say so.
Sensemaking as a standalone product
A recommendation you can act on, backed by a written assessment of what a specific AI decision means for your operations — what the technology really does versus what's claimed, whether it fits your operation and data, and what you'd need to see before committing. Yours to act on, to take to your board, or to decide nothing is ready yet.
Built for mid-market operating companies
Energy, asset-intensive operations, manufacturing. Companies of 100–1,000 people where the Head of Operations is in the room when decisions are made — not a delegation from the C-suite.
Who does this work
Styrvik was founded by Gabriel Barcia, a project delivery professional with 15 years leading complex technology programs: global rollouts, multi-site governance, production go-live across initiatives that should, by rights, have stayed on a whiteboard.
The firm is now applying that same delivery discipline to AI — specifically the part that determines whether a pilot lands or dies in committee. The AI-specific track record is being built now, one engagement at a time, starting in Stavanger.
Styrvik works with mid-market operating companies in manufacturing, logistics, maritime, and professional services — where the Head of Operations is in the room when decisions are made, not a delegation from the C-suite. The sectors represented in Norway’s energy and maritime heartland are a natural fit.

Ready to ask
the first question?
Most useful conversations start the same way: "We know we need to do something with AI, but we do not know where to start." That is the first conversation we have with almost every client. A 30-minute discovery call is free, and it will give you a clearer view of whether any of the three services makes sense for your situation. The call is a conversation, not a sales pitch.
Most clients finish the sensemaking engagement with a clear internal brief, a prioritized shortlist, and a board conversation that no longer has to start from scratch.
